Restored Trench
This L-shaped trench was restored in June, 1958. Skeletal remains, buttons and scraps of uniform cloth revealed that two or three men were buried in the trench after the fight was over. Pvt. Julian Jones and Thomas Meador were killed on the firing line about 35 yards further south along the trail. The remains were most lilkely those of Jones and Meador.
