This is the first of a series of pictures I took of the flood throughout the summer. Lots of properties were flooded, some were even lost. The Missouri River banks got eroded and will never look the same. As for the ageless cottonwoods and other trees along the river, we'll only know for sure if they made it when spring comes around next year.
